REQUIRED CLEANING AND CARE
AquaTread® marine flooring is an easy to clean product, allowing more time to enjoy your boat and less time with maintenance. Made from ultra-durable polyvinyl with a non-porous surface,
AquaTread has a long-life cycle, ready to handle the heaviest of traffic. The surface is resistant to gas fish scents, suntan oil and other spills and scents common to watercraft. Dirt, soil, and
debris don’t penetrate the surface for easy clean up, avoiding harsh scrubbing. Routine cleaning is necessary and vinyl’s are not stain-proof materials, so it is important to understand the steps to clean and maintain your AquaTread marine flooring.
- It is important to immediately wipe up any spills, harsh chemicals such as gas, motor oils, hydraulic fluids, etc.
Caution: To avoid mold and mildew build up do not leave organic or foreign substances on flooring (such as beverages, food products, baits, lotions/sprays, etc..)
Organic substances give mold and mildew something to grow on. If mold and mildew is left to grow, over time it can lead to staining that is not covered under the warranty. Keeping your floor clean will prevent mold or mildew from starting.
- Use an approved mildew stain remover at the first sign of stains starting to form. This will eliminate mildew and keep your flooring looking great for years to some. Just like the seating on your boat, mold and mildew can cause damage not covered under the warranty.
